About the role
The University of Southern California Counseling & Mental Health and USC Athletics are pleased to announce a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Sport Psychology for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position is a full-time 12-month appointment (fixed-term) providing clinical services to the university's student-athlete population.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psychoeducation groups and seminars, and performance enhancement for USC student-athletes.
- Conduct clinical ADHD evaluations (no testing).
- Assist with outreach, programming, and research.
- Facilitate and train in team performance enhancement.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Completed APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
- Self-motivated, growth-minded individual with strong clinical skills and experience.
- Experience working with diverse populations and training in multicultural populations.
- Organized, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and open to feedback.
Qualifications
- Strong ethical and professional skills.
- Experience as a high school or college athlete is helpful but not required.
