Therapy Aide/Patient Access Technician, Day Shift, Outpatient Rehabilitation
About the role
Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Access Technologist for their Rockville Rehab Team. The role involves facilitating patient enrollment in outpatient programs, answering phones, performing scheduling functions, assisting the therapy team, maintaining department cleanliness, and participating in various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means.
- Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language.
- Aid the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed.
- Maintain the department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies.
- Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred – Associate degree in health-related field.
- Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess high school diploma or equivalent, preferred with an associate degree in a health-related field, and have 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial.

Pay
$19.21 - $24.90 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
