Therapist-Speech - PRN

About the role

This position involves evaluating and assessing patients to develop measurable, functional goals aimed at restoring abilities. The clinician provides treatment based on a written plan of care, monitors progress, and adjusts interventions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations using subjective and objective data.
• Communicate findings to patients and caregivers.
• Document care in medical records.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
• Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and referral to community resources.
• Contribute to staff and student development.
• Participate in healthcare improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Entry-level position requiring basic computer literacy.
• Must hold SLP-CCC licensure.
• Obtain BLS certification within 14 days.
• Adhere to professional ethical standards.

Supervision & Ethics

• May oversee clinical students and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, scope of practice, and departmental policies.
• Provide compassionate care fostering health and healing.
