Therapist-Speech I PRN

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses the patient based on subjective and objective information.
• Communicates results of the evaluation to patient and other caregivers.
• Provides treatment according to established goals on plan of care.
• Documents interventions/care in the patient's medical record.
• Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care and reassesses patient's functional status as needed.
• Provides discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources.
• Contributes to the development of staff and students.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

• Experience: Minimum Required - Graduate of an accredited SLP Program with completion of Clinical Fellowship; Preferred/Desired - SLP; BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
• Education: Minimum Required - CF finished; Preferred/Desired - Graduate of an accredited SLP Program.
• Training: Preferred/Desired - Training in relevant areas.
• Special Skills: Minimum Required - Basic computer literacy skills such as keyboarding, using a mouse, and navigating sites; Preferred/Desired - SLP; BLS Certification.
