About the role

Family & Children’s Services Therapists work to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. Children’s mental health therapist will work with children between the ages 4-18 at a school site providing services at schools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based treatment to children and their families who may have significant behavioral and emotional issues and may be living in high stress environments.
  • Collaborate monthly with teachers and conduct intakes, develop treatment plans and plan updates.
  • Conduct individual family and group therapy.
  • May be assigned to provide services to children and/or adults in the office-based program for family strengthening on occasion.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Counseling Psychology or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation and ability to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
  • Licensed or under supervision for licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed or under supervision for licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Must have a Master's degree in social work, Counseling Psychology or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Experience in individual, group and family therapy.
  • Experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Able to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Proficient in using technology for therapy sessions and documentation.

Pay

  • $82K annually for Licensed Therapists, plus a $8K first year bonus!
  • $72K annually for Therapists under supervision, + a $5K first year bonus!

Schedule

  • Annually salary is structured school style; 10 months of work is paid out over 12-month period so there is no gap in income or planning needed.
