Responsibilities
- Affirms the patient’s condition.
- Formulates a comprehensive treatment plan.
- Carries out the treatment plan.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan.
- Administers prescribed medications.
- Trains patients, families, and significant others on health topics.
- Involves in enhancing healthcare delivery through participation in activities.
- Learns from and leads others in providing patient care.
- Fosters a supportive environment for patient health and recovery.
- Continuously improves clinical practices through ongoing learning.
Specifications
- Recent clinical experience in respiratory care (hospital, home care, skilled nursing facility).
- Previous experience in respiratory care practice.
- Current state license.
- One year of hospital experience preferred.
- State license and/or "RRT" credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Hospital and departmental orientation completed.
- Successful completion of entry and advanced level exams for RCPs.
- ABG endorsement, if applicable.
- RRT certification.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications preferred.
