Responsibilities
- Affirms the patient.
- Formulates the treatment plan.
- Executes the treatment plan.
- Evaluates the treatment plan.
- Administers medications as prescribed.
- Shares health education with patients, families, and significant others.
- Involves in activities aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery.
- Communicates and collaborates with other caregivers.
- Exhibits leadership in clinical settings.
- Fosters a lifelong learning attitude.
- Attains assigned objectives.
- Recent clinical respiratory care experience (hospital, home care, skilled nursing facility).
- Previous respiratory care practice experience.
- Current state license.
- One year of hospital experience preferred.
- State license and/or "RRT" credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Hospital and Departmental Orientation training preferred.
- Successful completion of entry and advanced level exams for RCPs.
- ABG endorsement, if applicable.
- RRT certification.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
