Responsibilities
- Affirms the patient’s condition.
- Formulates a treatment plan.
- Carries out the treatment plan.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan.
- Administers prescribed medications.
- Trains patients, families, and significant others on health topics.
- Involves in activities aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery.
- Exhibits leadership in clinical settings.
- Fosters a continuous learning environment.
- Meets assigned objectives.
- Recent clinical respiratory care experience (hospital, home care, skilled nursing facility).
- Previous respiratory care practice experience.
- Current state license.
- One year of hospital experience preferred.
- State license and/or "RRT" credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Hospital and Departmental Orientation completed.
- Successful completion of entry and advanced level exams for RCPs.
- ABG endorsement, if applicable.
- RRT certification within 14 days of hire.
- ACLS certification preferred.
