Therapist - PRN
Responsibilities
The Therapist provides direct patient care including:
- Completion of social assessments
- Formulation of treatment plans
- Provision of individual, group, family, and special focus group psychotherapy
- Completion of discharge and continuing care plans
The Therapist interfaces with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities.
The Therapist ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with the Joint Commission standards, State Health Department requirements, and all other regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Position: Therapist PRN, Shift varies
- Licenses Or Certifications:
- Current Arkansas licensure in specialty.
- Must be in good standing with licensing board and must maintain license as a condition of employment.
- Current CPR and Handle with Care certifications, or must obtain within 2-weeks of hire (offered onsite).
- Maintain certification with CPR and Handle with Care as a condition of employment.
- Total Education, Vocational Training And Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Must have documented experience working in the field.
Skills And Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate in a clear, concise manner with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, hospital staff, and the public, as well as provide accurate and timely documentation and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of the physical, emotional, and cultural characteristics of patients who have psychiatric, and chemical dependency, and behavioral problems.
- Ability to continually identify and assess the emotional needs of the patient, and to measure the patient's progress.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Able to interact with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel in a professional manner.
- Good organizational and time management skills are required to cope in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, complex schedules, and fluctuations in census.

- Daily sitting, standing, walking, and movement.
- Meet patients and families.
