Therapist - PHP/Intake

About the Role

Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dunwoody, providing care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. We are seeking an experienced, energetic Master's-prepared Therapist for a hybrid role in our Outpatient Services Programs and Intake Department. This position requires 24 hours in Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and 8 hours in Intake, with a flexible schedule including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups and lectures.
• Determine patient’s treatment needs and conduct psychosocial assessments.
• Conduct new patient orientation and assign patients to appropriate groups.
• Maintain working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and leaders.
• Manage staff providing care on weekends.
• Demonstrate crisis de-escalation skills and ability to multi-task with a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related clinical area (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
• Preferred licensure or license-eligibility as LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT.
• At least 2 years of previous outpatient or inpatient experience.
• Working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-informed Care.
