Therapist, Occupational Per Diem
About the role
The Per Diem Occupational Therapist serves as a flexible, as-needed member of the Rehabilitation Services team, providing coverage across outpatient and/or inpatient practice settings to support patient access and continuity of care. This role helps address staffing needs related to vacations, leaves of absence, vacancies, weekend and holiday coverage, and other operational demands.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in outpatient and/or inpatient settings as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care.
- Maintain competency within designated specialty areas.
- Support the team during periods of vacation, leave, vacancy, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state(s) where services will be provided.
- Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Passing scores on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam.
Skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.
