Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain at least 25 billable hours /week.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with clients in a safe and respectful environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide accurate DSM-5 diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, goals, and presenting concerns.
  • Provide ongoing individual, family, or group therapy and make appropriate adjustments to treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • Monitor and document client progress through regular assessments and clinical observations.
  • Collaborate with family members and other supports when appropriate, maintaining client consent and confidentiality standards.
  • Coordinate care by making referrals to external providers or community resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation for all sessions and client interactions in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of care, including maintaining client confidentiality and following all clinic safety and compliance protocols.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and other practice-related activities as required.
  • Maintain regular in-person availability at the clinic and provide limited after-school appointment times to support client scheduling needs.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
  • Current licensure in the State of Michigan as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT, LP, LLP.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Ability to provide individual, group, and/or family therapy in alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. (files, supplies).
  • Ability to remain composed in sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
