About the Role

The BridgeWay offers a continuum of services designed to help children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral, emotional, or addictive problems. As a Therapist, you will join a multidisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses, and mental health associates to provide direct patient care in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete social assessments and formulate treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and special focus group psychotherapy.
  • Develop and implement discharge and continuing care plans.
  • Interface with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality patient care, Joint Commission standards, State Health Department requirements, and other regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Current Arkansas licensure in specialty (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent). Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Current CPR and Handle with Care certifications, or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire (training offered onsite). Must maintain certifications as a condition of employment.
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Documented experience working in the field of behavioral health, psychiatry, or chemical dependency.

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for clear, concise interactions with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and hospital staff.
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, and cultural characteristics of patients with psychiatric, chemical dependency, and behavioral problems.
  • Ability to assess emotional needs and measure patient progress.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and fluctuating workloads.

Physical demands include daily sitting, standing, walking, and movement, as well as regular interaction with patients and families.
