Therapist- Licensed

About the role

Therapists provide clinical services in outpatient Behavioral Health Services, including group, individual, and family psychotherapy, crisis management, clinical evaluation, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapy referral management. They also deliver mental health education to patients, the community, and other professionals, and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Therapists maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and coordinate patient care with outside agencies and providers.

Responsibilities

• Group psychotherapy for outpatient services, partial hospitalization programming (PHP), and intensive outpatient programming (IOP) in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment
• Individual psychotherapy
• Family psychotherapy
• Therapy referral management (triage)
• Crisis management
• Clinical evaluation and diagnostic assessment
• Treatment planning
• Mental health education for patients, the community, and other professionals
• Accurate and timely documentation of clinical interactions and treatment-related information in the electronic health record
• Correspondence with outside agencies and providers for care coordination

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in therapy with individuals, couples, and/or groups
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
• Licensed and registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as one of the following:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• Completion of mandatory 72 Hour Involuntary Holds Authorization course training by Monterey County

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in an evidence-based practice (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR)

Schedule

Assigned work hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay

Pay range (based on years of applicable experience): $55.36 to $74.04 per hour

• Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $4.03
• Hourly Night Shift Differential: $6.05
