About the role

Mercy Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, participate in treatment planning, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and outside referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
  • Display active involvement in the treatment planning process.
  • Provide family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
  • Actively communicate with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication with those involved with the patient's treatment.
  • Work well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff members.
  • Demonstrate active communication with team members.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in social work or counseling or relevant state licensure required.
  • Experience: Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice in the state of employment.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

$3,000 Sign On Bonus
