Trauma-Informed Practice

CATS Therapists provide trauma-informed, evidenced-based practice interventions to children age 0-18 and their families who have experienced abuse, neglect, unplanned separation or other traumas. Individual, family and group interventions are utilized.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in social work or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation and ability to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
  • Must be licensed or under supervision for licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. [Mileage reimbursement provided]

Family & Children’s Services, Oklahoma’s leading community mental health center, has an opportunity for an energetic and caring Therapist/Counselor to work with Child Abuse and Trauma Services (CATS).

Family & Children’s Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. With nine citywide locations F&CS serves 1 in 6 Tulsans with a broad range of mental health programs and services.
