Therapeutic Responsibilities
- Overall treatment process for each individual client
- Ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and development of individualized treatment plans
- Family, group, and individual therapy
- Developing therapeutic alliances by learning and understanding youths’ histories
- Initiating and maintaining ongoing contact with families
- Understanding psychological dynamics
- Researching as needed
- Mentoring and supervising staff
- Medication management and oversight
Case Management Responsibilities
- Implementing the individualized treatment plan
- Ongoing communication and coordination with the youth’s referring professionals and outside support and services
- Completing paperwork such as CANS assessment, initial 14 day treatment plan, monthly treatment progress reports, funding reviews, and discharge/transfer summaries
- Managing the milieu with a therapeutic process
- Constant interaction, role modeling, teaching, and intervening when necessary
- Modeling and teaching daily living skills
- Continued supervision of mental health counselors

Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field required; LCSW, LPC or equivalent license is preferred, however ability for provisional license is appropriate
- Some experience working with adolescents and families is always helpful
- Commitment to trauma-informed care philosophy and cultural diversity
- Ability to understand and enhance the opportunity for normalization and self-determination
- Commitment to improving youth's ability in exercising healthy personal choices
