Therapist

About the role

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Therapist at The Rite Care Evening Learning Center in Berrien County, MI. We provide after-school intervention to at-risk youth through evidence-based groups, skill building, tutoring, mentoring, case management, and other structured activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups and monitor, contact, and supervise youth assigned to the Program.
• Report to the Program Manager and serve as a leader among the site team and community specialists.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Possess licensure in the field of mental health as an LCSW, LSW, LPC, or related.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
• Meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with youth and staff.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.

Pay

$67k - $75k depending on education and experience.
