Therapist
About the role
The Therapist provides evidence-based therapeutic services to assigned clients, maintaining a minimum of 20 or more billable hours per week, including play therapy when clinically indicated. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services and care while supporting organizational growth through outreach and referral development, as well as flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director to meet program and organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Provides services according to the PCHAS Way, being strength focused, goal driven, and family centered.
- Counsels clients and performs personal counseling.
- Develops and delivers programs and processes that provide counseling services to clients.
- Outreach/marketing to the community to increase referral sources.
- Maintains client files and documentation according to ethical/legal standards as required by policy, procedures, and contract/grant requirements, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provides education related to family functioning and child development, cultivating skills to improve communication, emotional regulation, and relationship focused parenting, and helps families develop natural supports and crisis plans.
- Links clients with community supports and resources and works collaboratively with referral sources as appropriate.
- Maintains agency productivity expectations on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Participates in strategic and operational planning to support achievement of organizational goals.
Requirements
- Therapists shall possess a master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Must be licensed in a clinical discipline, i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc. in the state of Texas.
Qualifications
Must have a strong background in clinical practice, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping at-risk children and families. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Pay
Salary range based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Works in a typical office setting with Waxahachie as the base. May conduct therapy in an agency office, in a home setting, being in-person or virtual, at times may choose an outdoor setting depending on weather conditions. Must be able to work evening hours and be flexible with scheduling clients after 7:00 pm when needed.
