Therapist

Rose Brooks Center is a nonprofit domestic violence agency providing services to residents of Shelter and other Clinical Services clients.

About the role

The Therapist delivers individual assessments, individual and group therapy, advocacy, and support planning services to clients enrolled in Shelter or Housing programs, as well as community-based clients. The position also provides consultation, education, and information to agency professionals and community providers on domestic violence, trauma, and mental health issues.

This position reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform all job duties in accordance with agency policies, demonstrating proficiency in RBC competencies and trauma-informed care principles.
• Maintain awareness of secondary trauma risks and practice self-care.
• Attend staff, team, and supervision meetings; participate in required trainings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work.
• Clinical licensure or license eligibility (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
• Experience providing therapy/counseling, preferably in a domestic violence or residential setting.
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, databases, and other software).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Schedule

Full-time, exempt position requiring a flexible schedule (average 40 hours/week), primarily Monday–Friday with two evenings per week. Includes on-call rotation approximately one week/weekend every ten weeks for phone-based consultation (no onsite response required).

Pay

Starting salary of $59,000 annually.
