Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct mental health services, including intake assessments, individual/family therapy, counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Complete and maintain individualized treatment plans, safety plans, discharge plans, and required clinical assessments
  • Complete required assessments, including CANS/ANSA, C-SSRS, PHQ-9/PHQ-9A, AUDIT, and AMSR, as applicable
  • Provide appropriate referrals, linkages, and case management to support continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor authorizations and ensure services are provided according to the treatment plan
  • Follow up on missed appointments and coordinate follow-up services
  • Communicate with parents/guardians, schools, referral sources, and other providers as appropriate
  • Attend required staff meetings, clinical supervision, trainings, and professional development activities
  • Participate in the collection of student and mental health outcomes, including parent surveys and school data
  • Maintain approximately 65% productivity, with a minimum of 48% overall monthly productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field and active enrollment in a license-eligible master’s program
  • Knowledge of common mental health diagnoses and treatment approaches for school-aged children
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and in a school-based environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field
  • Active Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
  • Experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of common mental health diagnoses and treatment approaches for school-aged children
