Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a psychology, social work or healthcare-related field
• Valid NJ Driver’s license without restrictions
• Prior experience working with youth ages 6-17 years of age experiencing behavioral health symptoms

Essential Functions

• Establishes and maintains supportive relationships with consumers
• Serves as a broker between the needs and perspective of the consumer and the goals of the treatment system; may include educating treatment providers and advocating on behalf of the consumer
• Shares information regarding the emergency assessment and/or screening process
• Provides one-on-one attention and encouragement to individuals undergoing the emergency assessment/screening process
• Responsible for modeling/coaching in the use of coping skills
• Provides personal assistance and support during crisis episodes

Pay and Schedule

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey is $19.79 per hour.
