Therapeutic Recovery Coach
About the role
Intent Clinical is seeking a Therapeutic Recovery Coach to provide support and guidance to clients facing behavioral health challenges. This role involves coordinating and completing comprehensive consultations, assisting with educational, vocational, recreational, and social needs, and providing ongoing support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Participating in initial consults and writing corresponding consult reports
- Completing biopsychosocial assessments on clients
- Reviewing past treatment records and contacting clinical providers
- Clinical: defining clinical services and frequency, facilitating communication between treatment team, client, and family coach
- Educational: assisting with school program selection and supporting client’s school plan
- Vocational: assessing vocational interests and providing short-term and long-term support for job placement and career planning
- Recreational: discovering clients' interests and connecting them to appropriate resources
- Social: developing skills for healthy behaviors and fostering a positive support network
- Independent living skills: creating and monitoring budgets, assisting with time management and other basic living skills
- Creating short and long-term client goal plans and documenting progress daily
- Maintaining regular contact with clients, both in the community and at home, to monitor progress and provide additional support
- Connecting clients to community resources, treatment options, peer counselors, and AA companions
- Providing in-home drug testing and Soberlink monitoring as necessary
- Offering emergency support, on-call availability, and client transportation as needed
Requirements
- One year or more of direct client experience in behavioral health or related fields
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Ability to manage client crises calmly and efficiently
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Collaborative and independent work style
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and behavioral health treatments
- Comfort and quick learning curve with technology (Microsoft Office, Salesforce)
Qualifications
- Experience working as a recovery coach, mental health clinician, or therapeutic companion
- Experience working with high-net-worth families
- Professional licensure (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT)
- Demonstrated engagement in community service initiatives, particularly those focused on underserved communities
- An understanding of social responsibility and how to positively impact others

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce

Pay
The final rate of pay may vary based on experience and skill set and will be mutually agreed upon during the interview process. Compensation scales are provided below:
- Bachelor's degree: $25 - $70
- Masters degree: $70 - $135
- PhD/Doctorate: $130 - $165
Schedule
This position is part-time and per circumstance only, with hours not guaranteed per week. Case Managers/Recovery Coaches are contacted on an as-needed basis for cases as they arise.
