Therapeutic Recovery Coach
About the role
Intent Clinical offers a continuum of services to guide individuals and families through the behavioral health industry. We provide concierge-level care, identify suitable treatment and aftercare options, and assist in creating and implementing sustainable recovery plans. We support those struggling with behavioral health issues, including substance use disorders, mental health issues, eating disorders, mood and personality disorders, autism spectrum, aging adults with dementia, and young adults transitioning to independence.
Responsibilities
- Participating in initial consults and writing corresponding consult reports
- Completing biopsychosocial assessments on clients
- Reviewing past treatment records and contacting clinical providers
- Clinical: defining what clinical services will be accessed and how frequently
- Facilitating efficient communication between treatment team, client, and family coach
- Assistance in selecting a school program and supporting a client’s school plan
- Assisting in the assessment of vocational interests and long-term planning towards career goals
- Discovery of clients’ interests in cultural, sports-related, and artistic pursuits and connections to appropriate resources
- Development and monitoring of a budget, assistance with time management, and other basic living skills as needed
- Creation and documentation of short and long-term client goal plans
- Monitoring client progress in the community or home settings, with follow-up calls as appropriate
- Providing connections to community resources, treatment options, peer counselors, and AA companions
- Providing observed in-home drug testing and Soberlink monitoring if appropriate
- Emergency support, on-call availability, and client transportation as needed
Requirements
- One year or more of direct client experience with clients having co-occurring behavioral health diagnoses
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Ability to work in Santa Fe 1-5 times per week based on clients' needs
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and behavioral health treatments
- Comfort and quick learning curve with technology on day-to-day tasks (i.e. Microsoft Office, Salesforce)
Qualifications
- Experience working as a recovery coach, mental health clinician, or therapeutic companion
- Professional licensure (i.e. LMSW, LMHC, LMFT)
- Demonstrated engagement in community service initiatives, particularly those focused on underserved communities
- An understanding of social responsibility and how to contribute positively to the well-being of others
Skills
- Ability to work independently and with supervision
- Flexibility with a part-time, per-circumstance schedule
- Confidence in managing crises while remaining calm and focused
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce

Pay
Bachelor's - $50 - $70
Masters - $70 - $135
PhD/Doctorate - $130 - $165
Final rate of pay may vary from the above based on experience and skill set and will be mutually agreed upon during the interview process.
Schedule
This position is part-time and per circumstance only, and hours are not guaranteed per week. Case Managers/Recovery Coaches on our staff list are contacted on an as-needed basis for cases as they arise.
