Therapeutic Program Worker (Mental Health Therapeutic Aide) - Supplemental Workforce

About the role

At DBH, you will collaborate with consumers and professionals to create and implement Individualized Service Plans and Behavior Plans tailored to each consumer's needs. You will monitor and assess consumer progress, making recommendations for revisions to service and behavior plans as necessary. You will participate in program development and adhere to guidelines set by the Program Director, contributing to the residential support team's service plan. You will attend various meetings and committees to facilitate program objectives and share insights on consumer needs. You will also complete accurate records, logs, and documentation related to consumer observations, behavioral changes, progress, and service interactions in a timely manner. Additionally, you will help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the residential facility on a daily basis. You will attend required training sessions to improve your skills and knowledge, and adhere to established safety practices, procedures, and agency policies to ensure a safe environment for consumers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Attend agency, program staff, and consumer meetings, as well as relevant committees, to facilitate program objectives and share insights on consumer needs.
• Complete accurate records, logs, and documentation related to consumer observations, behavioral changes, progress, and service interactions in a timely manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the residential facility on a daily basis.
• Attend required training sessions to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
• Uphold a professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with visitors and the community to enhance public relations and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to established safety practices, procedures, and agency policies to ensure a safe environment for consumers and staff.

Requirements

This position is an ETA Established Term Appointment. It is a temporary position for 10 months with possible extensions. It supplements the permanent work force and could be scheduled for day, afternoon, and evening shifts as well as weekends and holidays. There is no guarantee of hours, but ETA TPWs may work 25-80+ hours per a 2 week pay period based on their availability and the needs of the hospital. This is an hourly position, with a hourly rate of $23.28. This position is located within our Heartland Behavioral Healthcare campus at 3000 Erie Street South, Massillon, OH 44646.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
• The equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
