Therapeutic Practitioner – Cognitive Behavioural Therapist – Supporting Smiles

About the role

The starting salary for this post will be dependent on experience and level of qualification, based on 37.5 hours per week, and is a 12-month fixed-term position. Registered CBT Therapist: £34,467 per annum. Accredited CBT Therapist: £42,600 per annum. The base for this post is our Norwich Hub. Travel across Norfolk and Waveney is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional mental health support to children and young people through our Therapeutic Pathway for 4–13-year-olds and 5–18-year-olds with our Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner team.
  • Offer therapeutic support in various venues across the local community, including schools and family hub sites.
  • Work within the framework of the THRIVE principles: Getting Advice, Getting Help, Getting More Help, and Risk Support.
  • Collaborate with partners such as The Benjamin Foundation, Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk County Council, and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust to provide comprehensive support to children and young people aged 0-25.

Requirements

We are seeking a Registered or Accredited CBT Therapist who can demonstrate:

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in working with children and young people with mental health issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Knowledge of the THRIVE principles and the ability to implement them effectively.

Qualifications

  • Registered CBT Therapist with the appropriate qualifications.
  • Accredited CBT Therapist with the appropriate qualifications.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the THRIVE principles and the ability to implement them effectively.

Pay

Schedule

This is a 12-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding.
