Therapeutic Practitioner x 2 (12 month fixed term) – Supporting Smiles
About the role
Ormiston Families’ Supporting Smiles Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service is excited to invite applications from Therapeutic Practitioners looking to further their career. We welcome applications from both qualified therapists and those approaching professional accreditation who are looking to begin their therapeutic career within a supportive and developing service.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional mental health support to children and young people through our Therapeutic Pathway for 4–13-year-olds and our Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner service for 5–18-year-olds.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic support tailored to the individual needs of children, young people and families in a range of community settings, including schools, family hubs and community venues.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including Therapeutic Practitioners, Counsellors and Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners to deliver high-quality mental health support across Norfolk and Waveney.
- Participate in integrated, THRIVE-informed support across the Getting Advice, Getting Help, Getting More Help and Risk Support pathways, working alongside partners including The Benjamin Foundation, Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk County Council and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust.

Successful applicants will be appointed at the appropriate level based on their qualifications, professional accreditation, knowledge, skills and experience. Those who are approaching professional accreditation will receive appropriate supervision, support and development to help them progress in their career.
Qualifications
The successful candidates will have relevant qualifications and professional accreditation, and will be able to demonstrate their ability to provide effective therapeutic support to children and young people.
Skills
Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Pay
Salary: £27,666 or £34,467 (dependent upon qualifications, professional accreditation and experience), based on 37.5 hours per week.
