About the role
JRI’s Community Based Services division is dedicated to providing care that helps families and their children who face significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges access essential services for success at home, in school, and within the community. Our staff delivers services within the communities of those we serve, focusing on strength-based, needs-driven choices. We adopt a team-based, collaborative approach grounded in individualized services and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth.
- Deliver services including Skill coaching, Job Coaching, Life Skills training, activity planning, community exploration & integration, behavior management, assessment, treatment planning services, crisis management and case management services.
- Maintain positive relationships with outside agencies, families, and other involved parties.
- Serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that works together to find the best and most effective methods of guiding and supporting youth within the community.
- Support the clinical care of youth and their families in a home and community based setting allowing youth to become their best selves within the structure of their home communities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from an accredited university with one (1) year of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs OR Associate’s degree in a human services field from an accredited school and one year of experience working with the target population.
- Experience working with children is required. Candidates who have experience working with community mental health are preferred.
- Able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the needs of emotionally fragile, mentally ill youth and their families; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as transporting youth is required.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as transporting youth is required. Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.
Schedule
Scheduling for this position is flexible depending on your availability and that of the client/family. Scheduling needs this position will need to be available to work afternoons into the evenings. If looking for weekend hours, they are available but not required.
