Therapeutic Endoscopy Tech - Shea

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and registered nurses during procedures.
• Responsible for the technical functions related to assisting with G.I. and pulmonary procedures.
• Prepares procedure rooms according to endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements.
• Performs proper safety checks to verify proper equipment function.
• Troubleshoots any issues pertaining to endoscopes and devices.
• Cleans, disinfects, or calibrates scopes or other endoscopic instruments.
• Collects specimens from patients.
• Plays devices such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, nasal cannulas, surgical cautery pads, and cardiac monitoring electrodes on patients to monitor vital signs.

Requirements

• 2 years experience.
• Completion of SGNA Associates Program - Preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED - Required.
• Experience: >10 months direct patient care experience or endoscopy experience - Required.
• Experience: 1 year G.I. - Preferred.

Qualifications

• Current BLS - Required.
