Endoscopy Tech

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate the ability to assist the physicians with procedures in the endoscopy suite.
• Provide correct instrumentation and supplies during the procedure.
• Utilize aseptic technique and ensure a safe environment for the patient.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Routine use of time management skills to facilitate the schedule.
• Routinely attends departmental meetings and hospital forums.
• Routinely participates in department projects to continuously improve the department and/or organization.
• Aid co-workers as needed/requested.

Requirements

• Completion of mandatory department and hospital education.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day.
• Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.
• Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.
• Frequent utilization of manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.
• Occasional reaching above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Occasional walking on uneven surfaces.
