Therapeutic Activity Worker

Requirements

  • A High School diploma and related work experience is desired.
  • Such Training as may have been gained through working with developmentally disabled individuals.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individual goal plans, alternate and/or back-up activities, and documents residents' attendance and progress in the program areas.
  • Assists in organizing and conducting of special events and off-campus trips.
  • Assists the residents' activities of daily living; such as, toileting, feeding and other personal hygiene needs.
  • Provides guidance in social, recreational, education and therapeutic activities.
  • Escorts residents to and from scheduled program classes.

Qualifications

The position requires a high level of empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Pay

Earn up to 19.00/hr with the selection of the enhanced pay option.

Schedule

  • Monday thru Friday - FLEX START TIME - 6:30a -3p OR 7a-3:30p OR 9a-5:30p
