Theatre - Theatrical Interaction Coordinator (Service Provider: Activity Consult)

Location: Homewood-Flossmoor High Community High School
Start date: June 1, 2026 – July 10, 2026
Salary: $50/hour

About the role

The Theatrical Interaction Coordinator will research, choreograph, and train students in theatrical personal interactions for HF student-based theatrical productions. The length of work depends on script complexity and set design.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-production and post-production meetings to align on show themes, concepts, and designs
• Coordinate with the Technical Director on set design, properties, and costumes before creating routines or purchasing/constructing items
• Provide educational assistance to students in learning and developing technical skills for personal interactions
• Train students on safety protocols
• Supervise technical crew during construction and rehearsals
• Supervise actors, technical crew, and musicians during rehearsals and performances
• Report student behavior issues or concerns to the Theatre Director, Technical Director, and/or Director of Activities
• Clean, organize, and care for shops and facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance
• Secure facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance to prevent student access
• Store all costumes and properties in the loft after production closes
• Report any repair needs immediately
• Submit timesheets and itemized receipts for compensation and/or reimbursement

Requirements

• Professional Educator License (PEL) as required by the State of Illinois
• Experience with personal interaction for theatrical performances
