Theatrical Interaction Coordinator

START DATE: June 1st, 2026 - July 10th, 2026
SALARY: $50/hour
Preferred Qualifications: Professional Educator License (PEL) as required by the State of Illinois
Experience pertaining to the nature of personal interaction for theatrical performances

Description

Research, choreograph, and train students with regards to the theatrical personal interactions for HF student-based theatrical productions. The length of the work is contingent upon the complexity of the script and the set design.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-production and post-production meetings
  
• Show specific theme, concepts, and designs for a cohesive vision
  
• Distribute scripts and coordinate schedules
  
• Cook with the Technical Director regarding set design, properties, and costumes
  
• Create routines and purchase or construct items as needed
  
• Provide educational assistance to students in learning and developing technical skills for personal interactions
  
• Train students with respect to safety protocols
  
• Supervise technical crew during construction and rehearsals
  
• Supervise actors, technical crew, and musicians during rehearsals/performances
  
• Report student behavior and/or issues to the Theatre Director and Technical Director to resolve
  
• Report concerns/issues to the Theatre Director, Technical Director, and/or Director of Activities
  
• Clean, organize, and care for the shops and facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance
  
• Secure the facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance so no student has access
  
• Store all costumes and properties in the loft after the production closes
  
• Report any repair needs immediately
  
• Submit timesheets and itemized receipts for compensation and/or reimbursement.
