Theatre Production Assistant (AY 26-27 900155)

About the role

Assist in all areas of technical theatre production, excluding costume work.

Responsibilities

• Build scenery and properties
• Hang and focus lights
• Sew and paint

Requirements

• Prior hands‑on work experience (e.g., home projects, volunteering with hands‑on organizations, high school stage crew, or other technical/creative projects requiring problem solving and creative thinking)
• Ability to do basic math
• Physical mobility necessary
• Student employment eligibility: active semester status; not on leave/withdrawn; visa restrictions apply; international students need work authorization for off‑campus work; federal work‑study limited to U.S. citizens on financial aid; remote work from international locations not permitted
• Hour limitations: max 20 hours/week during academic year; up to 40 hours/week during full weeks when school is not in session (February recess, Spring recess, December or summer recess); international students limited to 20 hours/week

Pay

$14.50 per hour (Level A rate on the Midd student wage scale)

Schedule

Work two afternoons per week, approximately 1:30 PM–5:00 PM
