About the Role
Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking an experienced and innovative teacher licensed in theater instruction for the 2026-2027 school year at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School. Located in Sauk Rapids, MN, minutes from downtown St. Cloud and approximately an hour northwest of the Twin Cities, the middle school serves approximately 1,000+ students and is the focal point in a growing area of Central Minnesota.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical and psychological growth
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
- Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, interests, and learning needs
- Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement, particularly in the area of designing meaningful instructional opportunities utilizing the one-to-one Technology
- Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment

Required Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in theater arts or willing to obtain a Tier 1 or 2 license or apply for Out of Field Permission
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject area
- Experience using technology to augment student learning
- Experience using PBIS to augment student engagement
- Background in Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS)
- Interest in enhancing inquiry-based learning opportunities for students
- Experience using technology in meaningful ways for teaching and learning
Contract
1.0 FTE for the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary
Based on the 2025-2027 Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Associations Master Agreement, starting at $52,166 up to $97,326. Salary based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
