Texas ELA Teacher Mentor/Instructional Coach- Houston area

About the role

Supports teachers in Houston area schools in improving student achievement through instructional coaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Mentor teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
• Provide feedback and support to enhance instructional practices.
• Assist in developing lesson plans and materials aligned with district curriculum standards.
• Conduct observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching effectiveness.
• Collaborate with school leadership to implement professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of state and national educational standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and assessment tools.
• Knowledge of current educational research and best practices.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel within the Houston area as needed.
