About the role
The Testing Coordinator supports the mission of IDEA Public Schools by ensuring that all students take appropriate tests in a conducive environment. They collaborate with campus partners to accommodate eligible tests with approved accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Campus earns an A rating by the Texas Education Agency
- Ensure 100% of students have high-quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests
- Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team
- Create and communicate the campus testing plan for every district, state and/or national assessment administration
- Communicate testing schedules and updates to students' parents/families
- Coordinate with campus IT technician to ensure all computers are updated and ready for test day
- Prepare and communicate the campus testing plan for every district, state and/or national assessment administration
- Own learning by actively participating in the TC TEAMS group and scheduled trainings, reviewing training materials, and managing testing materials
- Manage state assessment materials and check them in and out from the National Assessment Team
- Audit state test booklets and answer documents with a lead team member to ensure all student information is correct
- Process and manage state assessment materials following district guidelines
- Execute all deliverables requested by the National Assessment Team, including data reporting, student counts, and information for students participating in district, state, and/or national tests
- Lead campus testing training to teach staff district, state, and/or national assessment policies and procedures
- Schedule biweekly meetings with each school special point person to ensure all approved accommodations have been entered/updated in the applicable system by the district-designated deadlines
- Schedule meetings with each test proctor at least 2 days ahead of the test to ensure proper implementation of approved accommodations
- Oversee all testing sessions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Monitor the scanning of assessments to ensure the campus meets the 95% multiple choice components scanned within 24 hours of testing
- Track and monitor testing to ensure 100% of eligible students complete all applicable assessments
- Update all Edcite Distribution Groups for the classes at their school/campus to ensure the teacher of record has access to district exams
- Partner with the campus IT tech to ensure 100% of equipment is prepared for online assessments 48 hours in advance of the test
- Lead the investigation of irregularities at the campus level and report all incidents to the National Assessment Team by close of business on the day the incident occurred
- Ensure 100% of teachers and leaders have access to all assessment systems required to access and administer tests, and analyze student data
- Train and support the use of testing systems at the campus level
- Set up and monitor all online testing systems and testing implementation for the school/campus to ensure 100% of students are tested in the appropriate format and with the approved accommodations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma; 48+ College Credit hours preferred
- Education experience preferred, but testing experience valued
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.) preferred

- Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $19.19 for 0 years of experience and $23.98
