Testing Center Monitor - AZ - Part Time/Temporary

This part-time position reports to the Testing Center Manager. Hours vary throughout the year; shifts are offered based on the exam schedule and are a minimum of 2 hours. Available hours will not exceed 19 hours per week. Testing Center hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 7:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electronic and paper exams to ensure students follow established testing rules.
• Assist students with questions about the exam process or testing procedures and consult with proctors as necessary.
• Stand and walk testing center rooms for long periods to ensure compliance with testing center rules and policies.
• Monitor email to review shift openings and use the MWU web portal to accept shifts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year College/Technical school preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience required; previous experience in a testing center, academic, or customer service setting desired.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include correctable 20/20 vision.
