Test Technician | Shared Test Services

Responsibilities

• Assemble test fixtures, including mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Maintain and improve test equipment for both internal and external tools.
• Contribute to and strictly adhere to test procedures, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Clean up all test areas and document findings meticulously after each test.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and efficient work environment by looking out for colleagues and following safety protocols.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Perform other work-related tasks as directed.

Requirements

• A two-year engineering degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related technical field.
• Passion for continuous improvement and a drive to learn and adapt.
• Ability to analyze problems independently and make decisions.
• Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Good communication skills, particularly for teamwork.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with application lifecycle management tools like Slack.
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
• Basic programming skills in Python or similar languages.
• Understanding of battery cell or high-voltage DC systems.
• Knowledge of DO-160 standards.
• Experience with aerospace design verification, especially in compliance testing.
• Physical ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs.
• Ability to work in confined, elevated, and noisy spaces.
• Skills to handle and move materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to use necessary tools and equipment effectively.
• Workload: Medium, involving occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force.
