About the role

Test Technician II positions are available within Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation. This role involves testing and troubleshooting a variety of high voltage power supplies and electronic sub-assemblies to component level. Key responsibilities include understanding electronic theory and electrical circuitry, reading and understanding schematics and circuits, troubleshooting down to component level, soldering skills, computer literacy in MS Office, and experience in high voltage power supplies environments.

Responsibilities

  • Understand electronic theory and electrical circuitry
  • 1-2 years minimum testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies
  • Read and understand schematics and circuits
  • Able to troubleshoot down to component level
  • Able to work from a written test procedure (ATP)
  • Soldering skills
  • Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience in High Voltage Power Supplies environment a plus
  • Test and calibrate high voltage power supplies to ensure completed units meet customer specifications for performance and safety
  • Troubleshoot and repair high voltage power supplies
  • Record Functional Data during the various testing phases, analyzing results for test validity

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Electronics certification (1 year program) with minimum 3 years of Electronics Test experience
  • Associates of Applied Science degree (2 year program) in Electronics or adjacent field and 2 years Electronics Test experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 1 years Electronics Test experience
  • "C" school or equivalent military technical training specialized in Electronics
  • Union apprenticeship or similar vocational training with 2 years Electronics Test experience
  • At least 4 years of practical work experience in Electronics Test

Qualifications

Must Understand electronic theory and electrical circuitry
Able to read and understand schematics and circuits
Able to troubleshoot down to component level
Soldering skills
Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Experience in High Voltage Power Supplies environment a plus

Our good faith estimate of the hourly rate range for this role is $25.50 to $34.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
