This role works to produce high-quality components used in the world’s finest electron microscopes, which are utilized by scientists and engineers—including Nobel prize winners and teams who imaged the COVID-19 virus—to drive innovation globally.

Schedule

2nd shift: 2 pm – 10:30 pm

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Cleanroom environment with restrictions: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair allowed
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing using prescribed methods and work instructions
  • Collect and analyze test data to make process decisions
  • Assist in selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
  • Perform a wide variety of analysis to identify and address problems
  • Perform machine set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
  • Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed to ensure operability

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A 2-year technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
  • Military technical training may be considered in lieu of a technical degree
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing/electronics testing experience
  • Previous experience using test equipment (e.g., Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Chart Recorders) preferred
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement is a plus
  • Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) is a plus
  • Military veterans are encouraged to apply

Skills

  • Ability to read detailed drawings and perform basic problem-solving on electronic and mechanical assemblies at the component and system level
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE
  • Able to follow detailed work instructions and complete daily tasks successfully
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in teams with diverse cultural, language, and educational backgrounds

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Pay

Competitive hourly pay rate with additional shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Includes annual performance-based bonus and merit-based increase.
