Details Of The Role
The position of Test Technician I will be responsible for performing routine electrical and mechanical testing of parts according to established procedures, documenting results, identifying failures, and supporting the production team. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to follow test instructions, operate basic test equipment, communicate discrepancies, and maintain proper documentation.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing using meters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and other basic test equipment.
- Follow work instructions, test procedures, and product specifications accurately.
- Document all test results clearly and thoroughly.
- Identify and report failures or abnormal readings.
- Perform basic troubleshooting with guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized testing area.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements.
Qualifying Attributes And Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0–1 year of experience in electronics, testing, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical concepts.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to use microscopes or magnifying tools on miniature parts.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to adjust focus and perform work requiring close vision.
- Must be able to use hands and arms to manipulate small tools and components.
