Test Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Technician position is a critical role within TLD, focusing on ensuring high-quality products through meticulous testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
• Prepare units for test to include filling fluids, installing test instruments, and pre-setting controls.
• Check units’ wiring and flows using the proper documentation.
• Test units using the proper documents and test equipment.
• Record and calculate data.
• Perform final run on units as assigned.
• Prepare unit for shipment, and test related items.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area.
• Responsible for maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
• Other assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or higher supervisor/s.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2 years of related experience, and a broad knowledge of the section and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools.
• Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring scales or tapes proficiently.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain as well as restricted spaces.
• The ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
• The ability to work in and around areas with limited space.
• Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, air conditioning, and diesel engine applications.
• Certified to handle refrigerants per EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F prior to use – type 2 or universal, preferred but not required.
