About the role
The Quality Control Technician position is a critical role within TLD, focusing on ensuring high-quality products through meticulous testing and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
- Prepare units for test to include filling fluids, installing test instruments, and pre-setting controls.
- Check units’ wiring and flows using the proper documentation.
- Test units using the proper documents and test equipment.
- Record and calculate data.
- Perform final run on units as assigned.
- Prepare unit for shipment, and test related items.
- Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area.
- Responsible for maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
- Other assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or higher supervisor/s.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of related experience, and a broad knowledge of the section and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools.
- Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring scales or tapes proficiently.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain as well as restricted spaces.
- The ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
- The ability to work in and around areas with limited space.
- Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, air conditioning, and diesel engine applications.
- Certified to handle refrigerants per EPA 40 CFR 82 Subpart F prior to use – type 2 or universal, preferred but not required.
