About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance, including:
    • Light bulb and air filter replacements
    • Painting and drywall repairs
    • Lock repair and maintenance
    • Pool maintenance (where applicable)
  • Aid with snow removal operations, including early morning response by 6:00 a.m.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
  • Ensure common areas, grounds, and community facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, team members, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Experience using common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Trade school education or related certifications are a plus.
  • Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Current automobile insurance.
  • Ownership of basic maintenance tools.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
