About the role
Teledyne Qioptiq has an immediate need for a Test Technician in Exton, Pennsylvania. This is a non-exempt position that receives overtime for working over 40 hours in a week. The role is part of the Solidtron Advanced Thyristor Products Business Unit, which specializes in the design, packaging, assembly, testing, and application support for pulsed-power semiconductor components and high-power switch assemblies.

Due to Department of Energy requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive standard electrical voltage tests for a high-volume product line using controlled, calibrated test equipment.
- Determine proper test set-ups, conduct tests, troubleshoot, and notify appropriate personnel when problems arise.
- Perform data capture and compilation both manually and electronically.
- Complete tasks and process steps according to schedule.
- Perform other related duties of comparable complexity as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training beyond high school (6–24 months of industrial experience).
- Attention to fine details and ability to perform repetitive tasks with attentiveness.
- Ability to handle and manipulate small parts with hands and tweezers under microscopes; steady hands are a must.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read and interpret graphs.
- Ability to follow precisely controlled procedures and instructions (written and verbal).
- Basic knowledge of computers and electronics; semiconductor knowledge is a plus.
- Organized, neat, and orderly.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and switch between tasks as necessary.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, and MRP programs is a plus.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory (Ohm’s law, electrical formulas, etc.).
- Practical working knowledge of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, curve tracers, power supplies, and pulse/signal generators.
