Nature of Duties
- Test and diagnose products to the component level
- Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
- Enter test and repair results in data reporting tools
- Work with epoxies, adhesives, thermal gels, and solder
- Perform incoming and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality specifications
- Perform test equipment maintenance
- Pack and prepare products for shipping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing testing
- Some soldering experience or certification is desired
- Experience handling and testing of components
- Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly skills for electronic products
- Microscope and miniature microelectronic assembly skills
- Able to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and offer improvement ideas
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability required
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel and use a ladder in a manufacturing environment
- Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally may need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects
