Test Technician
Job Summary
Perform engineering tests to collect and evaluate product data. Support troubleshooting of assembly and schematic issues; recommend design changes. Validate accuracy and sequencing of technical test procedures. Provide technical support to customers and resolve product issues. Prepare technical reports documenting test procedures and results. Conduct tests according to established procedures and record results. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions at component and subassembly levels. Solder components to PCB assemblies and wire complex prototypes. Assemble electronic and electromechanical devices using technical drawings and specifications. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hazardous waste handling requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Perform other tasks and assignments as needed to support engineering and production teams.
Required Skills And Education
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3 years in manufacturing setting with knowledge products
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate electronic test equipment specifically including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital volt meters'
- Ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and schematic diagrams
- Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings
- Ability to read and understand production drawings
- Basic soldering skills
- Ability to build electronic assemblies
- Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members
Preferred Skills And Education
- Associates degree in electronics technology preferred
- 2 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
- J-STD-001or other Electronic certifications
