Test Technician
About the role
The Dixon Group is seeking a Test Technician to join their Boss Division in Chestertown, MD. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and contributing to product quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Assemble hose fittings and prepare test samples using a variety of specialized equipment
- Perform mechanical and functional testing to evaluate product performance, durability, and compatibility
- Analyze test data and recommend improvements to testing methods and product performance
- Document all testing procedures, observations, and results with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare clear, professional reports and communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot testing and assembly equipment
- Assist in developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and manufacturing processes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in product testing, manufacturing, quality control, maintenance, or a related technical field
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or coursework in STEM or a related field
- Experience working with testing equipment, mechanical systems, or laboratory environments
