Test Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads testing plans and conducts basic tests on new or modified products or product components.
• Reviews daily and weekly test plans with engineers to ensure all aspects of the tests are understood and carried out.
• Maintains equipment, fixtures, parts, and tools used in the testing lab.
• Tests, calibrates, and adjusts testing equipment as required.
• Confers with engineering and other technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or equipment issues, malfunctions, or incomplete test data.
• Maintains records on testing performed.
• Compiles test data and reviews test results with engineering personnel.

Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of automotive or off-highway vehicle parts and components, with emphasis on diesel fuel systems components.
• Ability to read electrical or electronic schematics and product drawings.
• Experience with testing equipment.
• Critical written and oral communication skills.
• Competent level of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic attention to detail.
• Competent organizational and time management skills.

Hourly Salary: $26.54 - $33.13
