ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads testing plans and conducts basic tests on new or modified products or product components.
- Reviews daily and weekly test plans with engineers to ensure all aspects of the tests are understood and carried out.
- Maintains equipment, fixtures, parts, and tools used in the testing lab.
- Tests, calibrates, and adjusts testing equipment as required.
- Confers with engineering and other technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or equipment issues, malfunctions, or incomplete test data.
- Maintains records on testing performed.
- Compiles test data and reviews test results with engineering personnel.
Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of automotive or off-highway vehicle parts and components, with emphasis on diesel fuel systems components.
- Ability to read electrical or electronic schematics and product drawings.
- Experience with testing equipment.
- Critical written and oral communication skills.
- Competent level of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic attention to detail.
- Competent organizational and time management skills.
