Job Summary

The Test Technician is responsible for the testing of aerospace products to ensure compliance with drawing and procedural requirements. Types of tests include electrical, mechanical, leakage, environmental (mainly temperature, vibration) and destructive functional testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of directly related experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment.
  • Lawsful U.S. Person (ITAR restrictions)
  • Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
  • Ability to read and write legibly, and possess able to perform basic math operations.
  • Read and interpret technical documents including work instructions, and drawings.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of recording data and familiarity with data acquisition equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to independently perform multiple assignments.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently.
  • Involves standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, pressurized pneumatic or hydraulic lines, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, parts at high and low temperatures, risk of electrical shock and explosion.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Schedule

CED follows a 9/80 work schedule allowing employees to enjoy alternating Fridays off.

Pay

CED's current salary range for this role is $28.00 - $37.25/ hour.
